How to get to the Campus of the UAB and/or Hotel Campus by Public Transportation
Step 1: Get to Plaça de Catalunya
Please make your way from the airport T1 or T2 or from the Sants central railway station (Estació de Sants) to the centre of Barcelona, i.e. Plaça de Catalunya. From the T2 you can take a train; from T1 and T2 there are busses. At Plaça de Catalunya you catch the trains S2 (green line in the direction of Sabadell) or S55 (blue line in the direction of Universitat Autònoma) from the FGC (Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya), NOT the RENFE/Rodalies/Cercanías-line!
Step 2
a) Getting to the Conference Venue:
Leave the train at the UAB-station (Universitat Autònoma; ca. 35 minutes from Plaça de Catalunya) go down to the Plaça Cívica and cross the Plaça to your left. Follow the indications “Facultat de Filosofia i Lletres” which will guide you up the hill.
b) Getting to the Hotel Campus:
Leave the train at Bellaterra (that is, get out one station before the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona). Leaving the station, turn to your right, i.e. do not enter the village of Bellaterra but follow a small road that takes you through a forest for 5-7 minutes. At the end of the road, you will see the Hotel Campus building; walk around it, since the entrance is on the other side.
In total, from the airport you may need 90 minutes, 60 from the central railway station.
From the Hotel Campus to the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters: Walk down the hill to the Plaça Cívica, cross the Plaça Cívica and walk up the hill on the other side, then follow indications, ca. 20-25 minutes.
A taxi takes some 35 minutes from the airport to the UAB, depending on traffic, and costs ca. 60 Euros.
